Here are about application status, application value and application areas of copper cable and aluminium alloy cable as follows.
1. The two kinds of cables have the same application status.
Many standards list clearly and specifically the same application status of aluminum alloy cable and copper cable, such as the GB/T 3956-2008 of cable manufacturing standard in Cable Conductor, the application standards that are JGJ 242-242 of national industry standard issued by the National Residential Ministry in Residential Building Electrical Design Standard and JGJ48-2014 in Store Building Design Standard.

3. The application areas of the two kinds of cables.
AA8000 series aluminium alloy cable is suitable for distribution field power cable below 35KV voltage class because of the conductor material characteristics, production technology and other factors. And conductor cross section of aluminium alloy cable should be 16-500 mm2. It is inappropriate to produce and supply wire and cable used in wiring fields as problems like a complete set of aluminum alloy connectors can not be solved.
